In the Skill's Own Terms
This skill validates and repairs editable PPTX decks before delivery, checking geometry coordinate contracts, accessibility compliance, and OOXML package integrity. It applies an audit checklist to verify slide counts, actual bounds, hidden slides, text overflow, content collisions, and native editability.
For production decks it runs a Python validation script and saves a JSON report. When validation fails, it repairs the spec or builder, rebuilds the deck, and reruns the same checks until zero errors remain. All artifacts—spec, PPTX, build record, geometry audit, accessibility audit, package report, and source manifest—are kept together.
How It Works
- 01Confirm File Paths and Artifacts
Before validation begins, the skill confirms the locations of the spec, builder, PPTX file, source manifest, and audit paths so all required materials are available.
- 02Apply Coordinate Contract Audit Before Building
The skill applies the audit checklist from references/audit-checklist.md to the coordinate contract before the deck is built, catching geometry issues early.
- 03Compare Reopened PPTX with Layout Tree
After building, the skill reopens the PPTX and compares slide count, actual bounds, hidden slides, and requested geometry against the layout tree to detect discrepancies.
- 04Run Package Validation Script for Production
For production decks, the skill runs the validate_package.py script from pptx-reference-deck-analysis and saves the resulting JSON report.
- 05Check Accessibility Compliance
The skill verifies document language, slide titles, meaningful-image alt text, reading order, table headers, and source references to ensure accessibility standards are met.
- 06Repair and Rebuild on Failure
When validation finds errors, the skill repairs the spec or task-local builder, rebuilds the deck, and reruns all checks until the deck passes.
