01 What It Does

Create Image-Based Decks for Reading and Sharing

A reading-first slide workflow that plans, renders and packages individual slide images.

Source-based workflowNot an execution benchmark

The Working Approach

Baoyu Slide Deck explicitly designs for reading and sharing rather than live speaking. That assumption affects information density and narrative flow: a slide should make sense without a presenter filling in missing context. The workflow starts with an outline, audience and style, then writes a separate prompt for each slide.

Finished slides are generated images that can be merged into PPTX and PDF. Outline-only, prompts-only and selected-slide regeneration modes allow review before rendering and focused corrections afterward. This is materially different from a native-slide authoring tool: placing an image in a PowerPoint file does not turn its chart, title or body copy into independently editable objects.

Expected Deliverables

  • A slide-by-slide outline and saved generation prompts
  • A numbered sequence of rendered slide images
  • Image-based PPTX and PDF packages

From Brief to Review

  1. 01
    Define the Reading Deck

Confirm audience, language, approximate slide count and whether the material must stand alone without narration.

  2. 02
    Approve the Narrative

Write the outline and per-slide content, select a visual system and review the prompts if requested.

  3. 03
    Render and Assemble

Generate the selected slides, inspect text and consistency, then merge only after all required images are ready.

02 When to Use It

When to Use It

A raster generation backend and Bun or npx-based Bun for PPTX/PDF assembly scripts.

A Good Fit

  • Shareable ExplainersUseful for asynchronous briefings, educational material and visual summaries that readers consume at their own pace.
  • Prompt-Driven Slide ArtFits a deck whose slides are intentionally illustrated compositions rather than editable business charts.

Limits to Check

  • Image-Based SlidesPPTX export contains rendered slide imagery; native text boxes, charts and shape-level editing are not established by this workflow.
  • Live Presentation Needs DifferA dense reading deck may need substantial simplification for a room with a speaker and distant screen.

Bring These Inputs

  • Source and AudienceProvide the material and what the intended reader already understands.
  • Deck Length and StyleSpecify a target slide count, language and visual direction appropriate to the subject.
  • Review and Export NeedsChoose outline or prompt review and identify whether PNG, PDF or image-based PPTX is required.

03 Decisions That Matter

Decisions That Matter

  1. Self-Contained Narrative

The source's reading-first premise makes context and transitions part of each slide's design.

  2. Selective Regeneration

A changed slide can be regenerated from its updated prompt without discarding the entire deck.

04 Try a Focused Brief

Try a Focused Brief

The example brief below has not been tested. Check the skill’s setup before using it.

Review the Setup

Retain the style and outline references plus merge scripts. Confirm image-based output is acceptable before starting the deck.

Start With One Deliverable

Adapt the scope, source material and constraints in this brief before running the skill.

Example Brief
Use baoyu-slide-deck to outline a ten-slide reading deck from this product-research memo. Assume the audience will read it without a presenter. Preserve the evidence and uncertainty, use a restrained editorial style, and stop at the outline for approval. When rendering is authorized, save every prompt and package the inspected slide images as PDF and image-based PPTX.

Inspect the Result

Check the actual output against these observable criteria.

  • The deck's argument is understandable without spoken narration.
  • Generated slide text matches the approved outline and evidence.
  • The exported files contain every slide in the intended order, with editability described accurately.

06 Questions Before You Start

Questions Before You Start

Can I edit every title in the exported PPTX?

Not as a native text box in the documented image-based workflow. Revise the slide prompt and regenerate the image when its text changes.

Can I ask for an outline only?

Yes. The source includes outline-only and prompts-only stages before image generation.

Is it optimized for live talks?

The source explicitly prioritizes reading and sharing. A live presentation may need a different density and pacing.
