01 What It Does

Create Brand-Led HTML Decks or Websites

An HTML design workflow with shared brand extraction and separate rules for presentations and responsive websites.

Source-based workflowNot an execution benchmark

The Working Approach

Power Design has two output paths that share a brand foundation: a fixed-frame HTML presentation and a responsive website. It can use a brand URL through Firecrawl, a bundled brand style, or a neutral default. The same background, foreground, accent, font, radius, and voice references then feed the appropriate medium-specific rules.

The distinction matters because a readable projected slide and a usable web page have different constraints. The slide path emphasizes a limited amount of content, a safe zone, one visual point, and a clear presentation mode. The website path adds responsive layout, semantic structure, keyboard access, theme behavior, forms, and metadata. These are design targets, not measured performance results.

Expected Deliverables

  • An HTML presentation or responsive website; linked fonts and images may require network access.
  • A reusable brand-style record when extracting a new source brand.
  • An output reviewed against the slide or website checklist for content, layout, and accessibility.

From Brief to Review

  1. 01
    Select Deck or Website

Resolve the output medium before choosing rules or a canvas.

  2. 02
    Establish Brand Inputs

Use an authorized URL extraction, an existing library style, or the neutral baseline.

  3. 03
    Apply the Correct Rulebook

Use presentation constraints for slides and responsive interaction requirements for websites.

  4. 04
    Save and Inspect

Open the output, review its medium-specific behavior, and iterate on the actual result.

02 When to Use It

When to Use It

URL-based brand extraction needs Firecrawl. Default outputs avoid external JavaScript dependencies, while fonts or image assets may still require their own availability and rights.

A Good Fit

  • Branded HTML PresentationsUseful when a browser-based deck is the intended deliverable.
  • Responsive Marketing PagesProvides a framework-free default with tokenized light and dark treatment.

Limits to Check

  • Not a PPTX ExporterThe documented default output is HTML, not a native PowerPoint file.
  • Brand Extraction Needs AccessURL-based branding depends on an available Firecrawl integration and accessible source material.
  • Targets Are Not MeasurementsListed performance budgets and readability thresholds must be checked in the real output rather than claimed automatically.

Bring These Inputs

  • Medium and PurposeState whether the result is a deck or site and the action or message it should support.
  • Brand SourceSupply a URL, known library brand, or permission to use a neutral style.
  • Content and AudienceProvide the real claims, sections, key points, and intended viewers.

03 Decisions That Matter

Decisions That Matter

  1. Medium-Specific Rules

A fixed slide canvas should not inherit website density, and a webpage should not inherit presentation-only interaction assumptions.

  2. Shared Brand Record

The extracted brand style can feed both paths while their layout rules remain separate.

  3. Plain HTML Default

The source favors a self-contained output unless a larger project or framework is explicitly needed.

Review the Setup

Keep the principles, brand library, and extraction references with the Skill. The source does not establish a universal one-line installer.

Start With One Deliverable

Adapt the scope, source material and constraints in this brief before running the skill.

Example Brief
Use power-design to create a responsive HTML page, not a slide deck, for the supplied workshop. Use our provided brand-style file and verified event details. Keep one registration action, support keyboard use and light/dark themes, and report actual viewport and performance checks separately from the design targets.

Inspect the Result

Check the actual output against these observable criteria.

  • The selected output follows the correct medium's rules.
  • Brand values are traceable to the supplied or extracted style.
  • The website or deck is inspected in its intended browser context.

06 Questions Before You Start

Questions Before You Start

Can it produce PowerPoint files?

The source describes HTML presentations. A native PPTX deliverable needs a separate conversion or authoring workflow.

Does it always need Firecrawl?

Only the URL-extraction route depends on it; the source also offers existing brand styles and a neutral default.

Are light and dark modes included for websites?

They are part of the documented website default, along with a persisted manual toggle, unless the scope is changed.
