OpenDesign is the open-source Vibe Design Workspace with 90K+ stars on GitHub: plug in the coding agent you already use — Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and more — bring your own API keys, and turn ideas into personal sites, landing pages, apps, dashboards, and more.

So OpenDesign is hosting a product design hackathon: from September 9 to 18, build a product design with OpenDesign, post it on X, submit the link in the community, and let likes decide the top 10 — up to $1,000 in credits.

How to enter

One post, one link.

01

Post your work on X

During the event, publish a post showing the product you designed with OpenDesign. The post must:

  • show the work as a screen recording, images, or a link; the work can be a website, an app, and so on;
  • mention the official OpenDesign account @OpenDesignHQ;
  • be published between September 9 and September 18.
02

Submit in the community

Join the official OpenDesign Discord or Feishu group and drop your links in the designated channel during the event. That completes your entry.

  • Submit the post link plus a public link (or file) of the work;
  • once the work appears in the gallery below, you are in;
  • submit early to collect likes longer; the first 50 also get $5 in credits.
Prizes

Top 10 by likes and the first 50 entries all win. Up to $1,000 in credits.

Speed · first 50 $5 Credits

The first 50 valid entries each get it as soon as the work is listed. Order is decided by the time the post link is submitted in the community.

Likes · Top 10
Top 1 $500 Over 1,000 likes doubles to $1,000
Top 2 $100 Over 500 likes doubles to $200
Top 3 $50 Over 500 likes doubles to $100
Top 4–10 $20 Over 100 likes doubles to $40

Prizes are paid as OpenDesign credits within one week after the event ends.

Judging

How the Top 10 is decided

  1. Entries are ranked by likes on the submitted X post. Counting closes at 24:00 UTC on September 18.
  2. Cheating such as bot-driven likes disqualifies the entry.
  3. One prize per X account: only that account’s most-liked post is counted.
  4. Work listed in the gallery on this page counts as a valid entry.

FAQ

One more check before you submit.

Who can enter?

Anyone. Each X account is counted once, by its most-liked post.

Do I have to use OpenDesign?

Yes. The work must be designed with OpenDesign.

What should the work look like?

Any product design: a website, an app, and so on. A screen recording, images, or a link in the post is enough; no real backend needed.

When is the deadline?

Posts and submissions must land between September 9 and 18; like counting closes at 24:00 UTC on September 18.

When are prizes paid?

All prizes, including the $5 early-bird credits, are paid to your OpenDesign account within one week after the event ends.

Who owns my work?

You do. OpenDesign may display and promote submitted work, for example in the gallery on this page and on official social channels.
